Our mission is to realign car design so it becomes about the cars themselves, not the corporate interests that force manufacturers to stick closely to existing templates or copy competitors just to stay safe. Thanks to AI, everyday car enthusiasts now have the freedom to imagine and create the vehicles we actually want to see on the road. Think of AI like sketching or rendering with pen and paper, only now everyone has the ability to draw. We can express our own ideas, explore bold new directions, and move beyond the limits of traditional design cycles. Just as importantly, we can also vote on and comment on each other’s creations, shaping the direction of future car concepts together and building a more open, collaborative design culture for all. Each competition runs for six weeks, with the first month for submissions and the final two weeks for community voting. Simply follow the steps below, submit your designs to us on Instagram, and we can begin to build a network of pure car design.

Step 1: How to Design Your Car
ChatGPT can now design cars, and even professional automotive designers are beginning to use AI. For us as car enthusiasts, this means we finally have the power to create our own car concepts with ease. Getting started is simple: create a free ChatGPT account if you don’t already have one, and you’re ready to go. While AI can generate stunning designs, it isn’t the decision-maker; we provide the creativity by crafting prompts, guiding the direction, and refining the outputs. Each competition will include its own prompt prefix to set the brief. For example, “Design a hyperrealistic nextgen Jaguar city car, with a minimalist dark colour scheme and...[the rest is up to you]” The only constraints will be the brand and body type, such as city car, hover car, or SUV, leaving plenty of room for your imagination.

Or if you are a perfectionist: For members who want to take their creations to the next level, you can refine and enhance your ChatGPT-generated designs using more advanced visual tools. One powerful option is Midjourney, where you can upload your initial concepts and evolve them into high-detail, studio-quality renders. Simply drop your ChatGPT outputs into Midjourney, and experiment with different styles, lighting, and compositions to push your design closer to professional concept-art quality. This step isn’t required, but it’s a great way for you to explore deeper creativity and achieve incredibly polished results using the knowledge and passion you have for cars.
